 Overview
On July 1, 2004, Deer Ridge Mountain Resort began selling a limited number of memberships in our New Vacation Club. Only 125 memberships will be offered for sale. The Deer Ridge Mountain Resort Vacation Club is a loyalty-based discount program for both past guests and frequent visitors. Our past guests know that Deer Ridge Mountain Resort is one of the best-kept secrets in the Smoky Mountains. The Vacation Club allows our loyal guest the opportunity to purchase Bulk Vacation Days in quantities of 14, 21 or 28 days (two, three or four weeks).
The savings to our Vacation Club Members will between 18% and 49% depending on the time of the year and season. The benefits to becoming a Vacation Club Member start with saving money on future stays at Deer Ridge Mountain Resort but continue with value added benefits like early check-ins and late check-outs, free firewood in season (October – March), free movie rentals and merchandise discounts on in stock logo items. The key benefits to the Vacation Club program is you can use your bulk vacation days for short 2 or 3-day getaways and that your vacation days will never expire. Terms and Conditions
Membership. The Deer Ridge Mountain Resort Vacation Club is a private club with the current maximum membership set at 125. There is a one-time $100 membership fee to join the Vacation Club. One Membership fee covers the purchaser's immediate family. Immediate family is defined as purchaser, spouse and children (under 18 years of age). Only the purchaser and family members can purchase discounted Vacation Days and receive all other related benefits. The purchaser will be ask to provide Ridge Management Ltd., Inc. d/b/a Deer Ridge Mountain Resort with a Personal Identification Number, PIN number. The purchaser PIN number will be required when making all reservations. The membership fee will be used to cover membership setup cost and administration fees. At the time the membership is granted and the $100 membership fee is paid, the purchaser will be required to purchase a minimum 14 days of vacation time at the Special Deer Ridge Vacation Club Rates. The vacation days can be used a minimum of 2 nights at a time during both Value Season and Peak Season.
Vacation Club Rates. Special Deer Ridge Mountain Resort Vacation Club Rates have been developed to entice past and frequent visitors to join and take advantage of the savings offered to the members only club. The Vacation Club rates will offer an average savings between 22% and 49% during Value Season and between 18% and 43% during Peak Season. Value Season is January – May, September, November and December except for major holidays. Peak Season is June – August and October and major holiday period. Only Vacation Club Members will be offered these Special Vacation Club Rates. As stated members can purchase from two to four weeks of vacation time. Methods of payment for the Vacation Club Membership fee and Vacations Days can be made with major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover Card.
Purchaser's PIN #. The original purchaser of the Vacation Club Membership and Vacation Club Vacation Days will be required to provide the Deer Ridge accounting department a four digit PIN # (Personal Identification Number). This number will be required when making all reservations. This PIN # must be safe guarded by the purchaser at all times and should not be given out to unauthorized individuals. Deer Ridge Mountain Resort cannot be held responsible for the unauthorized use of an individual member's PIN number.
Reservations and Cancellations. The original Vacation Club purchaser shall be the only one authorized to make all reservations. The Deer Ridge Mountain Resort reservation's staff will verify the members name, address and PIN # before the reservation can be processed. Members should use the Deer Ridge Mountain Resort toll free reservations phone number, 1-877-333-7743 or 1-800-631-3379. Vacation Club Reservations are based on room availability and availability of funds in the Vacation Clubs Members account. At the time a Vacation Club reservation is made the full cost of the reserved vacation days plus tax will be charged to the Vacation Club Members account. There will be NO balance due at check-in. The cancellation policy for Vacation Club Members coincides with our regular guest cancellation policy. Reservations cancelled prior to 14 days of the arrival date, the members will incur a $25 cancellation fee. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of the arrival date, the members will incur a cancellation fee equal to a one-night stay. As always our reservation department will be happy to work with individual members in rescheduling vacation days without a cancellation fee. The Vacation Club Vacation Days do not expire. Vacation Days purchased by the Vacation Club members can only be redeemed for vacation days. In NO case will the Vacation Club Member receive a cash refund for unused vacation days. Vacation Club Members can trade Vacation time between seasons when space is available on a dollar for dollar bases. Vacation time in a particular size unit, during a particular season can actually be used to stay in any size unit and in either season as long as funds remain on account. The reservations staff will simply reserve the size unit desired during the season desired and apply available Vacation Club Funds as required. Vacation Club Members cannot be guaranteed a particular condo unit when making reservations. However, our reservation staff will always work hard to fulfill members request.
Transfer of Membership. The original purchaser of a Vacation Club Membership can at anytime transfer his/her Membership to another party by following the transfer policy. The Transfer Policy must be initiated by the original purchaser by calling the Deer Ridge Mountain Resort bookkeeping department at the following phone number 865-436-2325 ext. 1001. The purchaser must inform the bookkeeping department of the desire to transfer membership. The purchaser must give the bookkeeping department their PIN #, the name, address and phone number of the party and the balance of the Vacation Club account is to be transferred to. The bookkeeping department will take down all the information and mail the original purchaser a transfer signature form. Once the form is signed and returned the transfer can take place. At that time the transferee will be contacted by the Deer Ridge Mountain Resort bookkeeping department for a new PIN #.
Other Benefits. Vacation Club Members will receive FREE fire wood in-season (October-March) to be used in our wood burning fireplaces located within the Deer Ridge complex. Vacation Club Members will receive FREE movie rental from our in house movie selection. Vacation Club Members can request an early arrival (prior to 3 PM, maximum 3 hours) and late departures (after 11 AM, maximum 3 hours). Vacation Club Members will not be charged an extra persons fee when utilizing the sofa/sleeper. All Vacation Club Members and their families will receive a 10% discount on all in stock Deer Ridge Logo Merchandise. And last, The Vacation Club purchaser will receive a $50 gift card from the Resort Staff and Management of Deer Ridge Mountain Resort as a way of expressing our thanks for being a loyal guest. The $50 gift card can be used for all logo merchandise and in stock items including attraction tickets sold over the Deer Ridge counter. The $50 gift card cannot be redeemed for cash.
